Spartans romp past Gallaudet

York College ripped the Bison, 11-0, in a women's soccer match.

Senior midfielder Tina Engler accounted for five points Friday, scoring three goals and assisting on two others as visiting York College blew out Gallaudet University, 11-0, in a women's soccer match.

Eight other Spartans scored goals, helping York College improve to 10-4 overall and 5-1 in the Capital Athletic Conference.

The visitors blitzed to an 8-0 lead at halftime and wound up outshooting Gallaudet by a 48-3 margin.

Bison goalkeeper Erin Hanrahan did what she could to keep the home team close by making 20 saves.
