Sorenson Media Awarded Eagle Award from Disability Rights Advocates; Company Selected for Its Dedication to Communication Access for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals

OAKLAND, Calif. & SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 23, 2004--Sorenson Media(R) today announced it has been awarded the prestigious 2004 Eagle Award from the Disability Rights Advocates (DRA). DRA is an 11-year-old nonprofit legal center that defends and advances the rights of people with disabilities in the areas of communication access, employment, transportation, education, health care and insurance, recreation, and housing. DRA selected Sorenson Media for its dedication to communication access for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.

Former winners of the Eagle Award include Microsoft Corp., Fannie Mae and the J. Paul Getty Museum. The award will be presented to Sorenson Media at the 7th Annual Americans with Disabilities Act luncheon held today in Oakland, Calif.
