First deaf-blind diplomas given

Nine students have become the first in Scotland to receive a new qualification in deaf-blind studies as they received their diplomas in Glasgow.
Students were given their diplomas at a Gorbals learning centre after a two-year course pioneered by charities.
Organisers said: "Many of the students are professionals who will be bringing these new skills to their work."
