Ireland to compete in Deaflympics

Ireland will send 17 strong team football team to Melbourne next week to compete in the Deaflympics. The Irish team will depart on 30th December and will return on 17th January.
Sixteen teams will participate in this year's competition and Ireland will compete in Group D along with Australia, Greece and Great Britain.
In the first game Ireland will face Great Britain on the 5th January at 9.30am at Kingston Heath Reserve, Heatherton. Two days later Greece will be their opponents at the same venue and at the same time. The final game in the group is against hosts, Australia.
The quarter finals take place on 11th January, the semi finals are on 13th January and the final is scheduled for 16th January.
