Join DEAF Media at the Oakland Museum's Festival WinterFest--A Celebration of Family Traditions.
For: Families--young and young at heart-- Deaf, hearing. CODA, all community welcome!
When: Sunday, December 19th
Time: Noon - 4 p.m.
What: Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Las Posadas, Chanukah, Christmas & Other Family Traditions
Explore the magic of winter traditions from different cultures. Have fun making ornaments and playing games and learning other cultures' traditions.
12-3:30 Deaf artist craft activity, with Ron Trumble and DEAF Media staff
12:30-1 DEAF Media storyteller, Martha Aguilar
Other hands-on activities: Pinata making, Kwanzaa gifts, Chanukah activity, Arabic writing activity Henna Tattoos; Ramadan and Kwanzaa presentations and music.
Voice and ASL interpretation provided
