LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL
Year of the Rooster

**EVERYONE WELCOME - DEAF, HEARING, YOUNG, AND YOUNG AT HEART**
WHERE: The Oakland Museum of California, 1000 Oak Street at 10th
(1 Block East of the Lake Merritt Bart Station
Deaf Events at the Festival:
- 12-3 Art activity with Deaf artists (on going) Amelia Wong, Raine Cheng, Ron Trumble, DEAF Media staff and members of BAADA (Bay Area Asian Deaf Assn.)
- 1 DEAF Media storytelling with Nan Zhou
Plus Interpreted Festival Events:
Celebrating the Year of the Rooster with lion dancing; Taiko drumming; music and dance; cooking demonstrations; mochi pounding and tasting; artists' market place, including chopsticks by our own Ron Trumble; storytelling; and hands-on art activities. The agile Red Panda Acrobats and the Filipino dance troupe Sampaguita will perform and more...
ADMISSION: FREE with RSVP ($8 adults, $5 children/seniors without pre-registration)
Note: this includes free admission to all the museum galleries for the whole day.
