Deaf Actor at Local Communicty College

On page 17, staff writer K. Evangeline Simonton writes:

"Andrew Weidig played the roles of Slick the Clown and the Spirit of Christmas Future. Weidig is possibly the most impressive cast member of this production. Not only is he an extraordinary stunt man and an incredibly slick clown, but he is also deaf. Weidig is completely able to perform and communicate with the rest of the cast. As the Spirit of Christmas Future, I was wondering how he would know when to move and carry out his role of pointing Scrooge to the future. This was cleverly solved; Weidig was cued by lighting. I was most impressed. This production truly would not bave been the same without Slick the Clown, and more importantly, Andrew Weidig."
