Utah to Host the 2007 Deaflympic Winter Games

WHAT: Governor Jon M. Huntsman Jr. announces Utah has
been selected to host the 2007 Deaflympic Winter
Games, Feb. 1-10, 2007

WHERE: Utah Governor's Mansion, 603 E. South Temple,
Salt Lake City.

WHEN: Thursday, January 17, 2005.

WHY: The Deaflympics, under the patronage of the
International Olympic Committee, is the second
oldest multi-sport and cultural event in the
world. The 16th Winter Games will bring more than
400 of the best deaf athletes and 4,000 fans from
24 countries to Salt Lake City and Park City for
sports, performances, presentations and
entertainment.
