Wales sweep by England challenge
From: BBC Sport, UK - Feb 7, 2005
The Welsh deaf rugby team claimed a 24-0 win over England in their weekend international in Pontypridd.
Wales scored three first-half tries through number eight Matthew Campbell and backs Mike Watkins and Nigel Francis to lead 19-0 at half-time.
Although England came more into the game in the second half, Wales defended strongly in tough conditions.
But five minutes from the end, Campbell claimed his second try after good work from replacement Gareth John.
The Welsh squad remained together in Pontypridd after the game to watch the Six Nations game between Wales and England on television.
Wales, who are the current world deaf champions, are bidding to retain their title on home soil later this year.
They next face Scotland in April and are hoping to play France in another deaf international and Malta's national side as they prepare for the title defence.
