Former BHS swimmer completes freshman year

Former Brenham High School swim team member Jodi Winkelmann, a 2004 graduate, completed her freshman season with the Gallaudet University (D.C.) women's swim team.

The Gallaudet Bisons brooke 11 program records at the Capital Athletic Conference Swimming Championships at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va, including the 200-yard medley relay, which included Winkelmann, Stephanie Danner, Hailey Hime and Jenny Talbot.

Winkelmann competed in the 100-yard backstroke, the 200-yard backstroke, the 400-yard freestyle relay, the 800-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard medley relay.

Winkelmann has been named a spring tri-captain for the 2005 team.
