Farmers Market, Fairfax Avenue and 3rd Street in Los Angeles
Meet at the Coffee Bean venue.
A lovely place to meet old and new friends with plenty of good places to choose to eat.
Free admission but parking for a fee.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Beach party at Santa Monica Beach
Lifeguard Station #26
Near Ocean Park Blvd and Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica
11am to 4pm
Lets meet and have a good time at the beach. Come early to find free parking or parking for a fee inside the beach parking lot.
Bring volleyballs as there are volleyball nets on the beach nearby. Everyone is welcome. There are many other sport activities on the beach for your pleasure like bicycling, or roller skating, or swimming in the ocean , etc etc....
Venice Beach is nearby too.

( A deaf- owned restaurant not far from Santa Monica Beach).

OUTFEST 2005 IS ALMOST HERE! ( July 7-18, with Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Reception and American film "Happy Endings" with English subtitles on Saturday
July 9th at 7pm- Hollywood, CA)
 
2005 marks our 6th year of continuous service to the Deaf/HH community, and our Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services team (DHHS) is proud to offer services to both our festivals (summer's OUTFEST and winter's FUSION) as well as the year round weekly screening series which takes place at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

FESTIVAL DATES:  7 - 18  JULY  2005

DHHS is servicing 50 separate events over the course of the 12-day festival.

DHHS specifically targets NELFs & SWEs!?!!   --  NELFs (Non-English-Language Films!) and SWEs (Spoken-Word Events!)    for ASL interpreting service (we also try to keep a sense of humor wherever possible!  ;-)  ), so keep an eye out for "SUBTITLED" in the program description for those screenings we service.

We also provide interpreters at all Outfest's premiere Gala Events:  from OPENING NIGHT (a NELF!) to our TWO CENTERPIECE events (one is a NELF) to AWARDS NIGHT (also a NELF this year!) and CLOSING NIGHT, we encourage all our deaf/hard of hearing members and patrons to come see the OUTSTANDING features we'll be screening at this year's festival!

IN ADDITION to all the above, OUTFEST's D/HH Community Collaborator (WRAD) will have its block of FREE TICKETS to selected screenings available to all our Deaf / Hard of Hearing patrons and members.  The supply is obviously limited, so pick yours up early!  Just come to the DGA box office, let your customer assistant know your status in this community, and you'll be able to choose up to a total of six (6) tickets total per person from among the participating events.

DON'T FORGET about our Courtesy Interpreter availability at the DGA.  Just look for our Orange Interpreter Badges on our ASL volunteers...
