Fontana woman found safe

By SABRINA BRUMMOND / PE.com A 19-year-old old deaf and mentally handicapped Fontana woman, reported missing Aug. 21, was found safe in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Heather Estella Lopez was reported missing by her mother after a man pulled up in front of their home and said in said in sign language, "hurry up, get in the car."

Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department Southwest Division found Lopez with her new boyfriend, Fontana Sgt. William Megenney said.

"Lopez told authorities she is happy with her new boyfriend," said Megenney. "She said she is fine, alive, well and happy and wants to be left alone."
