WRAD, Inc. presents 4th Halloween Costume Ball for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Their Friends on Friday night October 28th, 2005 in Los Angeles, California
Great News! We will have our 4th Halloween Costume Ball for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Their Friends on Friday night October 28th, 2005 from 8pm until 1am at the HUGE Friendship Auditorium , 3201 Riverside Drive in Los Angeles not far from Griffith Park. Both Bruce Gross and Gino Guidice are the co-chairpersons for the Halloween Costume Ball. Last year we had the Ball at the same facility with over 200 people and we expect to have a good turnout again this year. We had the first Halloween Costume Ball at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, then at the Burbank Hilton Hotel then moved to the Friendship Auditorium which is very convenient and a great place to have the Costume Ball.
We will have cash prizes for the best costumes being selected by deaf and hard of hearing judges including Bernard Bragg, the world-famous deaf actor, writer, and director of plays and films.
The categories for prizes are the Funniest, The Scariest, The Most Fantasy, and ofcourse the Grand Prize.
Admission is $20 by mail or before October 25th. We accept few tickets at the door for $25 but it is recommended that you buy the tickets in advance and send a personal check or a money order, or cashier's check to WRAD, PO Box 3211 Quartz Hill, California 93586. We will accept personal checks until October 15. After October 15 we will only accept money order or cashier's check until October 25th. We also accept credit cards ( Visa or Mastercard)
We will have entertainment with dancing ( Deaf DJ with Joe Mc Roberts) as well as the costume contest at the Halloween Ball. Refreshments will be provided at the Ball. Bob Hiltermann, a well known entertainer, will be the Master of Ceremonies again this year. He was widely applauded for his work as the MC last year and we are happy to have him again this year.
Hope to see you at the Halloween Costume Ball as it is going to be alot of fun. Come wearing your costumes but you do not have to wear one to enter. This event is for people 18 years old and older, both deaf, hard of hearing or hearing.
The event at the Friendship Auditorium is near Los Feliz Blvd and the Golden State Freeway #5 not far from Griffith Park. It is on Riverside Drive and parking is FREE. We have plenty of room to park your vehicle at the Friendship Auditorium parking lot.
