NATIONAL THEATRE OF THE DEAF ANNOUNCES BENEFIT EVENT, OCTOBER 28TH AT SAINT JOSEPH COLLEGE

WHO:
National Theatre of the Deaf performs with special guests,
Naugatuck Valley Community College Dance Ensemble

WHAT:
Watch Alice from Wonderland as she explores the wonder of Mexico in Fingers Around the World- Next Stop: South of the Border. Not only will you see every word in American Sign Language and hear it in spoken English but also get a dose of Mexican Sign Language and spoken Spanish! Also, enjoy a performance by the Naugatuck Valley Community College Dance Ensemble and a silent auction featuring NTD memorabilia.

The West Hartford based and Tony-Award winning, National Theatre of the Deaf (NTD), in cooperation with Saint Joseph College, announces their fundraising benefit featuring Fingers Around the World- Next Stop: South of the Border performed by NTD's own, Little Theatre of the Deaf. The show will also include special guests, the Naugatuck Valley Community College Dance Ensemble and a silent auction featuring NTD memorabilia. The performance will be held at the Carol Autorino Center's Hoffman Auditorium at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, CT on Friday, October 28th at 7:00 PM.

The FINGERS AROUND THE WORLD series continues to see Alice off into another Wonderland. The audience will accompany her to the country of Mexico and be treated to a fiesta full of history and culture. Alice will share with you brand new adventures with her old friends from the Lewis Carroll classic. You will experience the Day of the Dead, which is the origin of Halloween as well as Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates Mexico's victory over the French Army in 1862. Not only will you see every word in American Sign Language and hear it in spoken English but also receive a generous helping of Mexican Sign Language and spoken Spanish!
