Wales Deaf @ Sardis
From: Pontypridd Rugby, UK - Nov 13, 2005
The Wales Deaf International XV will make a return to Sardis Road this coming weekend, turning out in a benefit match against the Welsh Charitables RFC. The game on Sunday 20th November will kick off at 2:30pm, following a curtain raiser game involving Pontypridd minis and juniors.
The fixture will see the current Deaf Rugby World Champions take on players from the Premier division, 1st division and a selection of ex-Welsh Internationals take the field to help raise the funds to support the worthy charities. The final line up will be confirmed closer to the date.
All the cash raised on the day will be shared between TY Hafan, St. David's Hospice, St. Anne's Hospice and The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust who are the selected charities of the Welsh Charitables RFC.
On the day there will be a family rugby village starting at 12:00pm with a visit from Cardiff Blues Players, Xavier Rush, Gethin Jenkins and Tom Shanklin, also bouncy castles, and a Giant Rugby ball ride. The day will be focused on making families welcome to the event and to ensure the crowd takes part.
Tickets are £6.00 with a free raffle; Children's entry is £2.00.
