Film showcase seeks entries
The call is out for deaf filmmakers living and working in the United States to participate in a special on-air film festival and screening event.
(WASHINGTON) Attention, burgeoning Spielbergs. The call is out for deaf filmmakers living and working in the United States to participate in a special on-air film festival and screening event. Deaf filmmakers are encouraged to submit short films or videos, three to 12 minutes in length, on any topic.
All genres are welcome: animation, documentaries, films for children, experimental work, etc. All submissions will be screened by a panel of film and video professionals. Selected entries will be included in an on-air film showcase that will broadcast on WETA, TV26 in fall 2006. A screening event will be held around the time of the broadcast.
Entry is free; there is no submission fee. For more information, visit http://www.weta.org/tv/productions/deafcinema/.
