Indian deaf sportspersons to tour Pakistan

New Delhi, March 16 (IANS) An Indian contingent of deaf sportspersons were given a ceremonial send-off here Thursday as they set off for a tour of Pakistan.

The 40-member contingent includes a cricket team and a cultural troupe. It will tour Pakistan during March 20-April 6.

The sportspersons will take on their Pakistani counterparts for a six-match one-day international cricket series that will culminate in a grand finale at Rawalpindi in the presence of President Pervez Musharraf.

The contingent also includes table tennis and badminton players.
