Gallaudet Students Protest Candidates For University President
From: NBC 4.com, DC - Apr 19, 2006
WASHINGTON -- More than 100 students are held two protests Wednesday at Gallaudet University.
Both demonstrations concern the final candidates for the university president.
Minority students organized one of the rallies. They're upset that a black candidate -- Dr. Glenn Anderson -- did not make it as one of the final three candidates.
Ten other student organizations are backing the second rally. They're protesting that a woman named Jane Fernandes did make it as a finalist. They say she's not qualified.
