AVALLONE JOINS NTID COMMUNICATIONS STAFF
ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 13—Ilene Avallone of Mendon has joined the marketing communications department at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, a college of Rochester Institute of Technology, as a marketing communications specialist. She will help create and implement communications plans for recruitment, developing student employment opportunities and financial support for NTID.
Previously, she was marketing communications manager with Stantec Consulting Services in Rochester. Avallone graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
NTID is the first and largest technological college in the world for deaf and hard-hearing students. One of eight colleges of RIT, NTID offers educational programs and access and support services to the 1,100 deaf and hard-of-hearing students from around the world who study, live and socialize with 14,400 hearing students on RIT’s Rochester, N.Y., campus.
