As Program Coordinator, under direction of the Assistant Director, plans, organizes, executes, & evaluates statewide programs & support services for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing; provides administrative support to the Assistant Director; monitors, reviews, & evaluates publicly & privately funded programs & services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals for efficiency & effectiveness; serves as a contact person to resolve problems & complaints; COMMUNICATES THROUGH THE USE OF AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE.

REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, skill & mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of college with coursework in oral and/or written communication, deaf education, business management business administration, or other related field; two years of administrative experience associated with providing serves to individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing; working knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations associated with the rights & services available for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing; thorough knowledge of deafness, deaf culture, & issues related to deafness; ABILITY TO USE AND INTERPRET AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE AT A COLLOQUIAL SKILL LEVEL.
