DEAF, Inc. seeks qualified and energetic individuals to apply to the following positions:
Boston Independent Living (IL) Department:
Full-time position: Regional Director of Independent Living Department
Salem Independent Living (IL) Department:
Full-time position: Regional Director of Independent Living Department
Part-time position: Hard of Hearing/Late-Deafened Independent Living Specialist
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Independent Living Program at DEAF, Inc. offers a range of services to Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened adults in the Greater Boston, Salem, Middleboro, and New Bedford/Fall River regions of Massachusetts. Our core services include Advocacy, Skills Training, Peer Counseling, Information and Referral, and Technical Assistance.
Project HOPE (Health Outreach Prevention Education) Department:
Part-time position: Peer Support Specialist--Must be HIV+
Project HOPE is a preventive health awareness & support program that strives to reach the Deaf Community through a variety of services which includes HIV/AIDS and STD prevention and health maintenance. We offer information and education regarding HIV/AIDS and healthy living. We also provide advocacy and support for HIV/AIDS services including housing, healthcare, substance abuse and family care in the form of support groups and one-on-one counseling.
Fluency or near fluency in ASL required. Inquire for other qualifications.
