Shyrl Orrego Scalice Joins NTID Center On Employment

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 24—Shyrl Orrego Scalice of Penfield has joined the Center on Employment at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, a college of Rochester Institute of Technology, as an employment advisor.
She will assist students seeking co-op and permanent positions, collaborate with faculty members to identify workplace trends, and encourage employers locally and nationally to hire deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Scalice has a Master of Science degree in Education from Nazareth College and a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She previously worked as a career consultant and trainer at Lee Hecht Harrison in Rochester and as a corporate recruiter and staffing manager at Eastman Kodak Company.
