Anheuser Busch Joins National Championship as Official Partner
Washington DC – February 28, 2007 - The United States Golf Association, as part of the United States Deaf Golf Championships to be played July 16-20 at Far Oaks Golf Club in St. Louis, is proud to announce that Anheuser Busch and its Michelob ULTRA brand have officially partnered with the national championship golf tournament for deaf golfers of America to be the Official Hospitality partner.
“We are so pleased to have a great company like Anheuser Busch associated with our national championship,†said USDGA Executive Director Rob Strano. Ongoing sponsorships and partnerships with the PGA TOUR, the Champions and LPGA Tours continue to define and enhance Michelob ULTRA’s long-standing relationship with golf. The brand sponsors PGA TOUR golfer Sergio Garcia and LPGA Tour Ambassadors Natalie Gulbis, Grace Park and Lorie Kane and is the title sponsor of the LPGA Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill. Michelob ULTRA is continuing this heritage and sponsoring this major championship for deaf golfers.
The Far Oaks Golf Club pavilion will serve as the hospitality center for the championships and will be branded the Michelob ULTRA Pavilion for the tournament. This will be the 23rd playing of the national championship for deaf golfers of the United States and the first time for Anheuser Busch as a partner.
The USDGA is the official head of deaf golf in the United States and is leading the way in growing the game of golf in the Deaf Community of America. For more information, please contact Executive Director Rob Strano at 443.404.8811.
