Tourism Bureau Joins National Championship as Official Sponsor

Washington DC - The United States Deaf Golf Association (USDGA), as part of preparations for the 2007 United States Deaf Golf Championships USDGC) to be played in St. Louis in July, would like to announce the sponsorship of the Tourism Bureau of Southwestern Illinois.

“The Tourism Bureau joining our team for the national championship is a key component of making this a successful tournament for our players and guests,” said USDGA Executive Director Rob Strano. “Being associated with a great group like this will help the tournament staff coordinate all details required in running a national event.”

The Tourism Bureau represents the 9 counties immediately adjacent to St. Louis and will provide local assistance including information on hotels, restaurants and events to the USDGA championship staff, players, VIP’s, guests and spectators. Director Jo Kathmann and her staff will provide needed support for the championships and are enthusiastic about the best deaf golfers in the country coming to the Metro St. Louis area in July.
