SANDBACH United has become one of the first deaf-friendly football clubs in the country.
The club has signed up to the National Deaf Children’s Society’s (NDCS) Deaf Friendly Football Club Pledge and committed itself to creating equal playing and coaching opport- unities for deaf people.
Members of the club will now take part in the NDCS’s unique Coaching Deaf Foot- ballers course, developed with support from the Football Association, a British sign language for football course, and will receive support and assistance from NDCS volunteers.
For more information about opportunities at Sandbach United phone schools disability liaison officer Rob Lowe on 07838 741364.
