Wisconsin School for the Deaf dancers perform at Kennedy School in Green Bay
From: Green Bay Press Gazette - Mar 31, 2010
Students and staff at Green Bay’s Kennedy Elementary School were treated to a different kind of performance on Wednesday, thanks to the Sign Song Dancers from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf.
The group presented its interactive performance at Kennedy, which houses many of the school district’s deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
The Sign Song Dancers is comprised of deaf and hard-of-hearing students from Wisconsin who attend the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan. They travel across the state, incorporating sign language and dancing in their performances.
The students also hold a question-and-answer session and offer a mentoring luncheon for deaf and hard-of-hearting students after each show.
